WHO: More than 2,000 Hurricane Katrina survivors from local Atlanta Red Cross shelters will join celebrities, community leaders and political officials for a “Recycling Inspiration Weekend.”
The Utah State University Aggie Football team joined Reminderband in their efforts to raise money and awareness of the Hurricane Katrina victims Friday night by selling the KARE wristbands at the game.
“The wristbands will help the university raise money for the local Red Cross at the game on Friday night,” said Associate Athletic Director Kevin Dustin.
Rick Dees is heard across the country with his popular voice blaring across stations announcing which artist or band is number one. Now Rick is putting those victims of Hurricane Katrina first by supporting the Kare Campaign.
Moved by the incredible devastation in New Orleans and surrounding communities, Reminderband wants to provide a way for people to show their support and KARE for those involved. The KARE campaign’s focus is to help unify Americans in their show of support for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
On the tragic day of September 11, 2001, four commercial airplanes were hijacked by terrorists and three of the planes were used as a means of mass destruction against the people of the United States. The fourth plane, Flight 93, had been delayed at the airport. After the plane took off, the passengers and crew were informed of the intentions of the terrorists on the plane.

Families, supporters and contributors wore Reminderband’s bright orange commemorative Max-Life wristbands supporting the JDRF cause.
Julia Bachison, the new Miss Utah of 2005, uses Reminderband’s wristbands to increase awareness of her platform “Healthy Weight for Life.” This September she will be joining the Utah school districts with their Gold Medal School programs that provide opportunities for physical activity and educating children about the importance of healthy nutrition.
