Reminderband Partners With Recycling Inspiration For Katrina Relief

WHO: More than 2,000 Hurricane Katrina survivors from local Atlanta Red Cross shelters will join celebrities, community leaders and political officials for a “Recycling Inspiration Weekend.”

WHAT: The day will include a relief concert, salon and spa services, activities for the kids and free health risk assessments, including blood pressure screenings and wellness education (health services provided by She’s Trinity, LLC. and local Atlanta physicians).

The Stay Strong “Group Therapy” session which provides survivors and friends from various communities the opportunity to dialogue and share their emotions on the events of the past few weeks is hosted by Terrie Williams - noted author, entrepreneur and mental health and youth advocate.

A Grand finale (fireworks) will be held in honor of the late Johnnie L. “Freedom” Cochran Jr.’s Birthday (October 2, 1937).

WHEN: The festivities will kick-off on Sunday, October 2, 2005, from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m.
