Police use wristbands to generate support

The Middletown Police Department is hoping some blue wristbands - the brainchild of Lt. Robert Nutt - spread support for the proposed $8 million police station on Valley Road.

The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 21 donated money recently to buy more than 1,000 of the silicone bracelets.

“The FOP Lodge 21 is committed to serving our community,” said Detective Kelly Mitchell, FOP vice president. “Buying the wristbands was a small investment towards a greater return for the residents of Middletown.”
