Student uses bands to fund cause against drunk driving
Evan’s organization, I Don’t Drive Drunk (IDDD), is aimed at raising awareness, changing legislation and getting tougher penalties for even first-time offenders. “I’m not against drinking,” he insisted. “Just drinking and driving.”
DaSilva said he hopes his group will in some way honor the memory of Andy and Grace. “There’s nothing to justify their deaths. But I can certainly work at it,” DaSilva said.
DaSilva and company are already selling silicone bracelets in the colors of Ohio’s drunken driving license plates (red and yellow) for $2 to fund their cause.
